Aboriginal Hostels Limited (AHL) is proud to present our 2021–22 Annual Report.
This report describes AHL’s performance for the
1 July 2021 to 30 June 2022 financial year.
Throughout 2021–22 AHL continued to provided safe, culturally appropriate accommodation for those who needed it most. Some key insights:
- 16,060 residents were accommodated in 43 hostels.
- Our targeted occupancy rate of 70% was exceeded.
- Results from AHL’s Resident Satisfaction Survey showed that 84% of residents rated their overall experience staying with AHL as either ‘good’ or ‘excellent’.

The Aboriginal Hostels Limited Child Protection Framework is child focused and informed by a fundamental belief that all children have the right to physical and psychological safety at all times. All Aboriginal Hostel Limited staff and volunteers are responsible for the care and protection of the children who are living away from home in one of AHL's nine secondary education hostels.
