Our boarding hostels become a home away from home for First Nations high school students. While staying at our hostels, students enjoy a safe, comfortable and friendly environment that celebrates culture and respects the individual story of each student.
Our Fordimail Student Hostel includes 8 rooms girl’s dormitory, 8 rooms boy’s dormitory. Each dormitory is serviced by shared bathroom facilities. We partner with Katherine High School.
Our students thrive in an environment offering:
- laptops and tutoring to support educational goals
- nutritious meals designed by our in-house dietitians and cooked fresh at our hostels
- after school and weekend activities and regular events
- a home away from home that sees students arrive as strangers and leave as family.
Please read AHL's guide for students, parents and guardians for more information about our secondary education hostels.
If you’d like to stay with us, please read and complete AHL's student boarding application form and email the completed form to boarding@ahl.gov.au

He was actively involved in Aboriginal affairs and had a particular interest in the development of housing and hostel programs for Aboriginal people in the territory. He worked with the Northern Land Council, the local Kalano Association and was Director of the Baruwel and Mimi Arts and Crafts enterprises. The Jawoyn people, led by Raymond Fordimail and Bangardi Lee, won the fight against mining the sacred sites at Guratba – Coronation Hill.
