What We Offer:

• Generous shift penalties. Work pattern for the night attendant role is a parttime role of 30 hours/fortnight, Thursdays and Fridays and includes all 30 hours of 30% after hours penalty rates.
• Paid Leave during School Holidays - 4 weeks Annual Leave plus 6-8 weeks paid Close Down leave during school holiday periods. Note: staff may be asked to work up to 2 weeks in total during the school holidays to undertake training, relief work, and hostel preparation for new term or hostel closedown
• Regular salary packaging options for vehicles, superannuation and laptops etc PLUS, ability to salary sacrifice $15,900 per FBT year for rent, mortgage or living expenses. This benefit reduces taxable income, increasing fortnightly take-home pay.
• Generous Leave Entitlements – 18 days sick/personal leave per annum, cultural and NAIDOC day leave
• Employee Assistance Programme: Employees, their partners, and their dependants/children will have access to a confidential, professional counselling service to assist employees to manage personal and work issues.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintaining the security of premises, monitor premises to preserve order and protect property.
• Monitoring and authorise entrance and departure of residents, staff and visitors.
• Responding to emergencies.
• Writing reports on daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorised persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Performing other general cleaning duties to ensure hostel grounds, gardens, windows, and the property are kept clean, tidy and clear for residents.
What We’re Looking For:
• Previous experience in the similar role or within the security industry sector will be highly regarded.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work on your own when needed.
• A positive attitude and the ability to work well with others.
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency (or candidates who have applied for and are waiting for citizenship).
• Ability to get and maintain a police check, along with Working with Children Card.
