Kabalulumana was the name of the Kalkadoon man that helped John Campbell Miles find one of the world’s richest deposits of copper, silver and zinc in Mount Isa during his 1923 expedition to the Northern Territory.

AHL acknowledges the Kalkadoon People as the traditional owners of the land on which we operate the hostel. AHL pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
